Three million Covid-19 vaccinations given in south east London

Posted on

South east London, home to nearly two million people, has reached the milestone of giving its three millionth jab. Our Healthier South East London Integrated Care System (ICS) which brings together NHS statutory organisations, borough councils, general practice and other non-statutory bodies, has coordinated the vaccine rollout across Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, and Southwark.

Our Healthier South East London ICS continues to encourage vaccine uptake and booster uptake for those who are eligible – it’s never too late to make sure you are fully protected.

Dr Andrew Parson, clinical lead for the vaccination programme in south east London said:

“This is a huge milestone to have reached, and everyone across our six boroughs has worked incredibly hard to get us this far. However, there is still some way to go, and I would encourage everyone to come forward to have their second vaccine if they haven’t already and their booster if they are eligible. It’s never too late to make sure you are protected.”

We have now delivered more than 3 million COVID-19 vaccinations across south east London
