‘Over 18? Don’t miss your vaccine’

We are working with our partners  to launch a new local campaign encouraging young people in south east London to get their COVID-19 vaccine.

The #DontMissYourVaccine campaign reminds younger people of the personal benefits available to them when vaccinated against COVID-19. It will boost and add a local flavour to the work being done nationally to reach young people.

With COVID-19 cases continuing to rise in London, the Our Healthier South East London Integrated Care System (ICS) which brings together NHS organisations, local authorities and the community and voluntary sector, is working together to ensure as many people as possible can access the life-saving vaccine. Daily walk-in services are being offered in every borough at different locations, from places of worship and community centres to local sports stadiums.

‘This campaign will help us improve vaccination rates and save lives’

Analysis from Public Health England shows that COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective against hospitalisation from the Delta variant, and can also significantly reduce transmission.

Our Healthier South East London Deputy Director of Communications and Engagement, Pamela Froggatt, said: “Vaccination drives are crucial at the moment, and making sure we administer as many doses as possible is essential to help south east London get back to normal. As young people are the last adult group to be invited for their vaccines, effective campaigns like ‘Don’t Miss Your Vaccine’ will help us improve vaccination rates across our communities and ultimately, save lives.”

How can you support the campaign?

There are a number of ways that south east Londoners can support the #DontMissYourVaccine campaign and help to protect local communities against COVID-19:
