We have teamed up with the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Charlton Athletic Football Club and local GP services to run a special COVID-19 mass vaccination event at The Valley this Saturday, 26 June.
From 8am to 8pm, teams of vaccinators will be administering Pfizer to people aged 18 and over via pre-booked appointments, and the first 1,000 people to arrive will receive a free ticket to a Charlton Athletic home game – so book your vaccination slot now!
Dr Krishna Subbarayan, GP and Governing Body member South East London CCG said: “Although younger adults are less at risk from serious illness with COVID-19 it is still important that they have the vaccine to protect their friends and family as well as themselves. Getting vaccinated will help us all return to our normal lives.”
Wayne Mumford, Charlton Athletic’s Commercial Director said: “We’re looking forward to hosting our second Vaccination At The Valley on Saturday. The event will give local people aged over 18 the opportunity to come to The Valley, get a picture pitchside and get the Pfizer vaccine. As a club we have a long history of excellent work in the local community and we’re pleased to be partnering with the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Greenwich Health and South East London Clinical Commissioning Group to support this important activity.”
‘Come and get vaccinated – we really want to get through this together’
If you have already booked a vaccination appointment, please continue with it. Or, if you prefer to go to The Valley, please cancel your appointment.
The event at The Valley is one of many vaccination clinics running across south east London: Popup and walk-in clinics.
