In response to the growing threat of the Omicron variant Bromley vaccination sites are offering extended opening hours and days, and a number of additional clinics. Vaccination sites in Bromley include the Bromley Civic Centre, GP vaccination sites and Community Pharmacies.
Every adult (aged 18 and over) is now eligible for a booster jab from three months after their second dose.
Residents aged 12 to 17 can receive a second dose 12 weeks after their first dose, or 8 weeks if they are at high-risk from COVID-19.
You can access a vaccination site in Bromley or SE London. Visit the national booking service to book your appointment or GrabAJab to check walk-in options. Please note walk-in centres might experience high demand, so residents may need to queue. Remember to bring warm clothes and continue to follow safety measures (mask, hands, social distancing).
A special clinic for the vaccination of homeless and rough sleeping people in Bromley will be held on 23 December, 6 and 13 January, from 6.30-8pm, at Bromley United Reformed Church, Widmore Road, BR1 1RY.
We recently partnered with Bromley FC for a one day clinic on Sunday 19 December. The clinic opened to all residents over 18 to receive their first/second dose or their booster, where they had their second dose more than 3 months ago.
Dr Alka Sharma, GP and Clinical Director for the network of GP services in Penge providing the Covid vaccination pop-up clinic said: “We were delighted to be working with Bromley Football Club Community Sports Trust. We held this special clinic so eligible individuals could get their vaccine in time for Christmas, whether it’s their first, second or booster dose. The vaccine is the best way to protect you and your loved ones this winter.”
The day was supported by volunteers and staff from Community Links Bromley, Armed Forces, Guy’s & St Thomas Trust, St John Ambulance, Bromley GPs and SEL Clinical Commissioning Group.
Bromley Council’s Covid Testing team was also available at Hayes Lane Stadium to distribute Covid test kits to all those attending for their vaccination.
Bromley FC Director of Charity & Community Jeff Hutton commented: “We’re very proud to be playing our small part in supporting the NHS’ efforts to protect our Community and are pleased that Hayes Lane will be an important part of this.”
